pyDefault DataTransform not present at Data Initialization under settings tab of case type

In previous versions of pega I used to access the pyDefault DataTransform in this way:

Case type->Settings Tab-> Data Initialization → Data Transform.

Now when I’m using the latest version(Infinity 23) of pega.

When I navigate the above steps in to open to pyDefault DataTransform, Data Initialization tab is only showing an option to set fields and not the actual pyDefault dataTransform.

Note: I’m able to open the pyDefault DataTransform from the app Explorer Class->DataModel → DataTransform->pyDefault. I just want to know why it was removed from the settings tab of Case Type.

Hi @KevinR17115962

This feature is no longer available from Pega 8.7 onwards.

Can you try add a filed and then check in the DT, Added field available in DT or not ?

Mine PE 8.6, PFA

Initializing data at case creation (8.7) and Initializing data at case creation (8.6)

I hope this will help you.

Thanks,

Ashok

Adding the fields here should add the steps in the pyDefault Data Transform. Since Pega is always pushing for a App Studio based low code-no code approach, showing the UI like this would be more user-friendly to the Citizen Developer in order to update rules with very minimal technical knowledge.

You can get more info by raising a ticket with Pega.
