Pulse image syntax is not working

We are using Pulse section in our application and this is OOTB functionality in pega version 8.5.2 and our application is built on Theme-Cosmos 02.01.

In pulse section for uploading the image we have syntax (Alt Text) by using this i am trying to upload the image but i am getting blank screen. i have attached the screenshots below please check. This is issue in case type pulse (when we open the case we can see the pulse section in left side)

I have attached the screenshots with issue.

There no customization from my side. this is OOTB

Can any one help me on this ?

Hi @AnushaP1329: Thanks for letting me know about this feature.

I tried the same and is working fine in my setup. I think that the issue may be because of connectivity (if your server is not able to connect to internet). Can you try to give the URL of image in your PEGA server and test? (Use can use the image from app studio landing page what’s new in PEGA - pzWhatsNew.svg)

  • In user portal when we open the home screen layout the image syntax was working fine, the only issue with case level.
  • Can you try to give the URL of image in your PEGA server and test?----sorry i didn’t understand, where can i give the URL ? can you provide me the steps ?
  • I tried the same and is working fine in my setup.-----you are using pega 8.5.2?

Hi @AnushaP1329: I’m testing this in version 8.7.4 and is working fine in both home and case level. If this is working for you in home screen and not working in case level for same image, I don’t think it is a connectivity issue.

Nevertheless, how i took the image URL from local server is → Go to app studio → right click the image in place of button What is new (or) in personas right click any of the persona image and copy image address → Used it in the pulse widget.

If this is not working in version 8.5.2, I suggest to check with support team.

BTW, curious to know whether this approach to paste image recommended / documented by PEGA anywhere? You can use the normal add attachment option to include any local images. If you are trying to include HTML elements and link of image, can try with tag?
