How Pega started UI , Confused between section based and View based UI can someone explain this ?

I will cover it from Pega 7 version where it belongs to the UI-Kit in the User interface components.

  • UI-Kit : Section based uI and it is pega 7.0 based design system.
  • Then Theme-Cosmos : This version came from pega 8.0 where we saw section based UI with reduction of developers focus more and can also configure section via wizards, Portal configuration took place , Forms came into picture,Channel interface got launched and Localization was main feature which is also running till now
  • Constellation : React based landing pages involved here , App studio contribution came into picture, Use portals got changed , SDK came where development kit got involved, view based designing . This is current picture for Constellation environment in pega design system of UI where pages become more responsive and on a single page you can able to load more details.
  • Cosmos design system has two parts basically one is "Server rendred UI " & “React based UI”
  • Constellation is pure react based where you can also install own SDK and make system more responsive using react based pages.
