Pega as-a-Service: Q1 2026 Release & Roadmap webinar Q&A

Thank you to everyone who joined our Q1 2026 Release & Roadmap webinar on April 30, 2026! We had a fantastic session and some great questions from the community. You can watch the full replay here: Pega as-a-Service: Q1 2026 Release & Roadmap.

:video_camera: The session included several live demos โ€” a dedicated demo assembly video is available here: https://community.pega.com/video-library/pega-service-q1-2026-release-roadmap-live-demo*.*

Below is a summary of the Q&A from the session. For questions that were answered live during the webinar, weโ€™ve included a summary of the response based on the session discussion. If you have additional questions, please post them in the comments โ€” our team is actively monitoring this thread!

Q&A Summary

Q1 โ€“ Database Access Options

Direct database access is not currently supported for Pega Cloud clients. Is there any plan on the roadmap to provide controlled or read-only DB access, or an officially supported alternative?

A: Read-only database access is available today via the Query Runner in Dev Studio. For access outside of the Pega platform โ€” this was discussed live during the session; please watch the recording for the full response. In summary, Pegaโ€™s strategy is to manage the database as a service, and the team is investing in AI-driven tooling (such as the SQL AI Assistant in PDC) to automatically optimise query performance and create necessary indexes โ€” reducing the need for direct database access.

Q2 โ€“ Dynatrace Log Streaming

Is Dynatrace log availability the same kind of logging that currently supports accessing Pega logs in Splunk?

When can we expect the Dynatrace logging feature?

A: Both questions were answered live โ€” please refer to the recording for full details. In brief: Dynatrace log streaming is expected in late Q2 2026 and will provide a similar experience to existing Splunk log streaming support.

Q3 โ€“ External Archive Targets

Auto-archiving to a client-owned database is not supported currently. Is there anything on the roadmap to support external databases as archive targets?

A: This was answered live during the session. The recommended approach for clients needing to archive cases externally is to use the S3-based archival process (accessible via SFTP private link endpoints, now available per environment) or to connect an external OLAP data warehouse for reporting purposes.
