MQ impact when upgrading from 8.2.5 to 8.7

Hi,

We are starting upgrade from 8.2.5 to 8.7. I Saw an article that is mentioned that After upgrade to 8.6, connect MQ rule do not work. To resolve this issue it was mentioned to set the DSS below.

  • “mq/pmo” = 0
  • “mq/gmo” = 0
  • “mq/oo_request” = 1040
  • “mq/oo_response” = 16

Please responds to the following questions:

  1. Are these DSS available in 8.6 or 8.7 version as I don’t see them in 8.2.5

  2. Only by setting these DSS values, whether we can continue using the existing MQs? or any other additional things that we need to check?

As per the note, you will need the DSS entries if you are using Alias queue in your Connect MQ

So the answers would be

  1. These DSS entries not shipped in Pega 8.7. You will have to create them.

  2. As per Pega , these are the only things to be done. I would suggest you to verify intended functionality works with these DSS values on your upgrade impact system
