Issues within Simul8r Component 08.60.02 for custom responses

Hello everyone,

We’re facing an issue when it comes to Simulate REST rules, for those who don’t have a clear idea, it’s a custom made rules that comes with the Simul8r component found at PEGA Marketplace which substitute the Service REST rules and enables the developer to define simulated responses for all types of methods.

The problem is that while defining custom responses let’s say for a POST method, the rule is supposed to match data of the request with what we define as conditions for the request parameters but in reality it doesn’t do that, which leaves us with a bunch of custom responses but nothing matches with the parameters. Did anyone face this issue ? is it a know bug for this component ? Anything that might help is appreciated !

This is a very old component, the Product Owner (@RobS17520906) no longer works for Pega and it hasn’t been kept up to date.

I’ll try to find out if there is a workaround being used but likely that marketplace component needs to be removed (or find a new owner)

I’ve been told a Dutch customer uses this component widely, so it must still work. I’m trying to find out if they have had to do any local fixes to get it working in new editions of Pega.

Unfortunately given its age and lack of updates, this is a possibility with marketplace components.
