When I create a Dynamic Text rule in App Studio, I am not able to add a rich text editor.
When I check the rule in Dev Studio, the category is set to “Simple”, and I cannot change it to “Standard” because the option is disabled.
If I create a new Dynamic Text rule in Dev Studio with category is “Standard”, I am unable to add it to Relevant Records, which means I cannot refer to it in App Studio.
Is there any solution or workaround for these issues?
How can I enable rich text editor for Dynamic Text in App Studio?
How can I change the category from Simple to Standard?
How can I make a Standard Dynamic Text rule available in App Studio?
When using Dynamic Text for a field label in App Studio, the rule is created under the Simple category by design. This ensures labels remain lightweight and consistent across the UI. Because of this:
Dynamic Text used for labels does not include rich text formatting options.
The category cannot be changed to Standard, as Standard Dynamic Text rules are intended for instructional or additional information.
If you configure Dynamic Text for step instructions (which uses the Standard category), you will see the rich text editor available for formatting.

I need to make part of a field label bold, and in another field, I need to add bullet points. This would be easy if I could use standard dynamic text at the field level.
@Arunkum@r ability to make such changes would be risky and could easily introduce visual inconsistency. Label by design is something which should be lightweight and consistent with styling across screens. Labels (as anything which you see on a screen in ootb Constellation portal) is part of the Constellation Design System and should match it with visual styling.

Yes, we already use additional information text and view instruction text where “Standard” type instruction text is applied. So I thought, why not use it at the field level as well? That was my initial thought. If it’s not appropriate, that’s fine.
