Is Tanzu Kubernetes (TKG) supported for Containerization of Pega?

Hello, we are currently running Pega 24.1 (including CDH) and are planning our move to a containerized version. I see that OpenShift is supported, and I see deprecated support for the old version of VMWare Tanzu (TKGI) but no mention of the new Tanzu (TKG) which is essentially built on OpenSource Kubernetes. Is there any plan for TKG support in the future, or should we expect supported containerization platforms to remain as it is?

Thanks.

@RobertM16632053 Please see the latest documentation:

https://docs.pega.com/bundle/platform-241/page/platform/release-notes/deprecated-features.html

I checked with our SME’s and this was their response:

"TKG is a different product, not a new version of TKGI. They are not the same.

We do not support TKG and have no plans to add it."

@MarijeSchillern thank you!

@MarijeSchillern

Hi, in your documentation you are stating support for Opensource Kubernetes, VMware VKS has the option to deploy upstream conformant kubernetes as a service. Is that then supported or is your statement that PEGA only support upstream conformant kubernetes on anything else than VMware infrastructure?

Happy to spend some time with your SME to understand more about the above statements, which does not make sense and are in conflict with your documentation and statements in your platform support guide.

Christian

@Grimsrud please can you post your enquiry as a New Question?
