I could see two repositories “constellation-appstatic-service/docker-image” and “constellationui/service”.
I understand “constellation-appstatic-service/docker-image” is used for App-Static Installation.
What is this (constellationui/service) repository holding and is it relevant now that with infinity 8.8, Pega has separated the Constellation UI content and delivery into 2 categories and delivery mechanisms:
The constellationui/service repository on pega-docker.downloads holds the Constellation UI Service Docker image. This service is responsible for delivering static content and front-end components for Constellation applications. In Pega Infinity 8.8, the Constellation UI static content delivery service is still relevant, as it helps to separate the Constellation container from other services, improving application performance and providing developers with the tools to create new UI components without interfering with other work.

Can not pull v8.6.0 constellation service docker image
@MarijeSchillern , Thanks for your response. I’ve initiated this question hoping this would lead to in obtaining a clarification on this one point below.
In constellation setup document, there is this mentioned - “The Infinity DSS ConstellationPegaStaticURL should be set to https://release.constellation.pega.io”.
I’m guessing the above URL points to some constellation specific service located in the Pega CDN. If my understanding is correct, is there a docker image available for the same service. If so, is “constellationui/service” repository holding this docker image or if my understanding is not accurate, please shred some light on it.
@ROHITN26 I checked with the SME for you, and was informed that constellationui/service is not valid for Pega versions 8.8 and upwards. That is for pre 8.8 only.
