How to Use Signature Capture in Constellation?

Hi there,

In one of my projects, I need to use signature capture. However, they use the PEGA constellation, so we cannot add signature capture as a field type. Despite having signature capture, we cannot use it in case views.

Is there anyone aware of this?

@SyedAhsanA9162 As of Pega Platform version 8.8, Constellation does not support the Signature Capture feature. This means that you cannot use the Signature Capture control in Constellation applications.

Feature changes and limitations in Constellation > General limitations

@SyedAhsanA9162 Signature capture is not available OOB but can be built as a Constellation DX component - We have worked on providing a gallery of Constellation DX Component at GitHub - pegasystems/constellation-ui-gallery: This open-source repository provides a collection of ready-to-use and customizable Constellation DX components. Use this resource to gain inspiration, best practices, and a solid foundation for implementing custom components. - There is a complete and functional signature control component - the repo even has a RAP that you can import that will have a pre-built version of the component that you can use as is on a 23.1 system. If you are on an older version, you can fork the repo and build from source - the repo is open source with Apache 2 license.

As Richard mentioned, a Constellation DX component is available for Signature capture. Please find the screenshots for your reference once after you import the RAP or publish the component in your application.

@RichardMarsot Thanks for the solution.

I have published the signature component to my ruleset but I am not able to find it in App Studio.

@SyedAhsanA9162 You have to change the “Displayed as” from Text to Signature control in the App Studio
