We are doing research on integrating with DICOM viewers for medical records. Would like to understand if Pega Care Management Framework has any DICOM component which can support to view the medical imagery with multi modalities.

Thank you for your inquiry. Pega offers attachment options that would support the viewing of DICOM images. We would be interested in understanding the use case, and how these DICOM images would be received.
Currently, while we can attach images, we do not offer an out of the box FHIR API for imaging ImagingStudy - FHIR v5.0.0 . However, the integration of the FHIR API could be configured.

As of now we don’t have specific details but the expectation is to view DICOM images and to integrate with HIS/RIS, PACS systems, EMR other Telehealth systems. Mainly Digital Image acquisition and transmission requirements.

@KatapalliP - There are limitations to what can be viewed for DICOM images. While the attachment can be made, it is my understanding that windows based machines cannot natively view DICOM images, and a third party tool may be needed.
