Error is thrown when network shared folder is specified for filesystem repository

I am getting an error when trying to create a repository, I think the issue is that we are using a “network shared folder”, and not a "regular’ folder, I’m saying this as I am not seen the “Share” tab for the “network shared folder”, in the "Security’ tab we did granted access to everyone

we have also tried creating a network drive and use it but we get the same “There was an issue during listing files in the directory. The specified path does not exist or it is not a folder.” error

we have no problem with browsing Y:\ drive or directly using the network path of the “network shared folder” using Windows Explorer

we have also tried creating a folder within the drive and share that to everyone, but they also don’t have the “share” tab. we can see the “share” tab in other folders but not for this “network shared folder” or any folder created within it

has anybody faced something similar? or have been able to successfully create the repository for a “network shared folder”?

@VeronicaP similar issues have been reported when trying to create a repository for a network shared folder. The problem could be related to the access permissions of the user running the application server. If the user doesn’t have access to the shared drive, you might encounter errors. One solution could be to start the application server with a user ID that has access to the shared drive. This way, you should be able to connect to the shared drive successfully.
