Encoded value getting in Pega

We are consuming Kafka Avro Schema file in Data set, in execution of data set, byte array data receiving in non-readable format in Pega.

“INVITATION_ID”:“$h]{\u001c:���c�\u0007�\n��”

here invitation ID is in byte format sending by producer team but in pega getting in different format
which we are not able to convert in readable format/decoded value
