We recently migrated from PRPC 6.1 to 8.3 and SmartInvestigateForPayments from 6 to 8. We are using SWIFTNET class and SWIFTNETEI ruleset to process SEPA messages. We are planning to implement SWIFT ISO20022 and CBPRPlus changes. We are not clear on SWIFTNET now.
Do we need to continue with SWIFTNET code? or Do we need to use ISO20022 and CBPRPlus classes ?
SWIFTNet classes and SWIFTNetEI rulesets are a part of SI for E&I application, which is a separate application built on Smart Investigate for Payments. This application too supports MX messages but the standards are using very old version respect to each of the supported messages.
To leverage the latest ISO 20022 standard MX messages, please place your application directly on ISO20022 application shipped as part of SIP application versions 8.6 and above OR via Hot Fixes for SIP 8.4 onwards.
In case there are message types which are not supported by ISO20022 application , you can still keep using the SI E&I application, and change the built on app to ISO20022 if needed.
Please refer The ISO Tech Note: Pegasystems Documentation , to understand on the supported message types and implementation steps.
In Pega SI 8.7 Package, we are not seeing any SWIFTNet classes and SWIFTNetEI,PegaSWIFTNETEIRTP rulesets. Do we need to install any specific hotfix? Also any new enhancement on swiftnet layer for E & I application?
