We are currently in a Mega Pega shared infrastructure (ie; On-Perm 7.2). Aiming to move to either 8.8.3/4 or Infinity 23’ + first patch version under AKS with SQL Mi offering. We would like to confirm when we transition from Db2 to SQL Mi FCMR if Pega system will support any issues surrounding it. This approach is only considered due to an AS-IS approach taken for migration path due to budgeting constraints.
Our long term vision is to move to process fabric and reconstruct the whole federated concept for onboarding and servicing applications.
When a Work- item is created/updated, the information is stored in the PC_WORK_FED table in the Federated repository. The applications participating in FCMR will be pointing to this Federated repository. Therefore when a work item is create/updated a lightweight record is created in PC_WORK_FED table.
Therefore as long as the integration between the application and the DB works there should not be any issues. However there could be unforeseen issues. As FCMR feature is depreciated, support might be limited.
Therefore the recommendation is to use Process Fabric, which is the alternative to FCMR.
