Deprecated Controls support on Pega Infinity 2024

Hi All,

We are planning to an upgrade from 8.6.5 to Pega Infinity version so wanted to check if Pega will support deprecated controls or not.

I strongly recommend upgrading the controls when you upgrade to the Infinity version. If we don’t upgrade the controls, we are adding technical debts to the application, which could cause significant maintenance issues in the future. It’s worth fixing/upgrading the deprecated controls in each upgrade.

If your original application is built on 7.x and later upgraded to 8.6.5, there are deprecated controls. However, if your application is initially built on 8.6.5, there may not be deprecated controls. You can check by following the below steps

To view and upgrade deprecated or outdated controls in your application:

  1. Select Designer Studio > User Interface > HTML5 Application Readiness.
  2. On the Applications tab, verify that the desired applications are selected. By default, the HTML5 Document Type setting for the current application displays..
  3. Select the UI Elements tab.

I don’t have Designer Studio > User Interface > HTML5 Application Readiness in my application . Is any role needed to view the same
