Date Format Changes back to US format when using On-Change Event

Hi,

We are using pega v8.6.3 and On-change event followed by Refresh section keeping applicability in Editable mode changes the date to default US format and it only gets changed to desired format when I click outside the date control. Changing the applicability mode to Read-only solves the issue and date format is same as the one mentioned in the presentation tab.

The issue can also be fixed when we use on-click event instead of on-change regardless of the applicability mode.

I want to understand what is different in first scenario and why Pega is changing the date to US format. my operator locale settings, presentation mode on control is pointing to localized format.

Can you confirm that you have applied all necessary formatting as per Dates and Times documentation ?

@MarijeSchillern Raised an incident - INC-253885 and as per support team this behavior is expected for date property when date is entered manually and this cannot be changed as this would require huge regression testing from product side
