We have created Custom Layout Template(Form, Form Region, Page, Details & Details Region) for 24.2 version and they are successfully published and visible but when we try to configure certain views(Tabs for Case type) they are not getting displayed.
We tried creating all 5 different variations of a Custom Layout Template while creating this component but none of them seems to appear when we Edit the view configuration.
It only show’s Pega’s OOTB 1, 2, 3, Col templates along with Dashboard, Inline Dashboard, Narrow-Wide, Wide -Narrow, sub tabs options.
We can see the some of the custom templates we created inside our case view but not when we try to edit the template for on of our tabs.
AF ACC, AF Accordion Region & AF Inline Layout Template are some of the custom templates we created which are not visible when we try to edit the view config for one of our case tabs.
Custom Layout Templates in Constellation are filtered based on the view type/context being configured.
For example:
In a Form view, custom templates created as Form or Form Region are available.
In a Partial view, custom templates created as Details or Details Region are available.
In a Landing Page, custom templates created as Page are available.
Because of this, a custom layout template can be successfully published and visible in one type of view, but it will not necessarily appear in every Edit template dialog.
As shown in the attached screenshots:
Form Layout and Form Region are available when editing a Form view.
Details Layout and Details Region are available when editing a Partial/Details view.
Page Layout is available when configuring a Landing Page.
So, for the case-tab scenario, the custom template must be created using the template type supported by that specific view context. If the component was created using a different template type, it will not appear in the list even though it has been published successfully.
