Creating and establising a Pega Connect-REST to AWS OAUTH 2.0

hi,

trying to create a Connect-REST from Pega to a AWS system which hosts a service to provide a response when Pega sends JSON request.

the authentication the AWS service uses is an OAUTH 2.0 and hence they have provided a secret and access key. when we create an authentication profile with Type as Amazon Web Services (AWS) on Pega and when called in the Connect-REST, “Use authentication profile” on the “Authentication section”.

on saving the connect-REST rule, an Pega error stating “Auth Profile— Amazon Web Services (AWS) Authentication Profiles do not work with this rule type.”.

See attachment.

It seems pega does not allow AWS type authentication profile to be set on Connect-REST.

Is there any way we can set this up this connection? looking for steps to follow to establish a connection to AWS, send a request and get a response.

thanks and regards,

Rajesh

Authentication profile with AWS ERROR.docx (610 KB)

@RajLaxman My research shows that you had already opened support ticket INC-B8845 (Pega Connect REST to AWS API) for this.

The error is thrown due to the fact that "Amazon Web Services authentication profiles are supported only by Amazon S3 BLOB storage repositories; this authentication profile is not supported in connectors.

As you did not receive any suggestions on the forum, then according to the process in order to contact Pega Consulting team you would need to contact your Account Executive first, who should redirect you to the Consulting team accordingly.
