I have created a user action on my data type for creating a case. When I update my list view on the same data object to allow Edit or Delete actions, then my create case user action appears fine, however if I just have allow edit, delete and create ticked but not any of the sub options, then the actions column disappears from the view and does not allow me perform my create case user action. Does anyone know a way around this? I do not want the data in the table to be editable in any form but I still want to be able to create a case from the row.
What version are you using?
I vaguely remember there being some sort of issue in '24 here, where edit was linked to the other actions BUT can’t recall 100%…
I just tested in my '25.1.2 version, with this configuration and it works as expected.
Let me know if you’re on 24, I’ll see if I can dig out some more details for you… Although not optimal, if you are forced to have edit action in '24, you could clear the edit view out of values, that way they can not edit anything OR better yet, change the fields to read only in the view.
Ahh that would make sense, I’m on 24.2. That’s exactly what I’ve done for the moment, a nice edit view with some read only fields and helpful instructions.
