Comma value in Comma separated Parse Delimited Rule

Hi Team,

We have a comma separated Parse delimited rule and the values that are passed to it also sometimes contains comma’s.

How can we deal with the same?

@ShwetaB96

Comma (,) in the column value is considered/parsed by the delimiter rule as a sperate record

To ignore the value parsing there should be escape character in the data

i.e. indicated by the backslash, specify then the comma will be ignored and parsing happens column wise.

Did you use the Custom definition in the Field format field as specified in the documentation Creating a Parse Delimited rule?

@MarijeSchillern

Thanks Marjie for your quick response , this is OOTB Sales Automation Bulk opportunity where we need to skip the same.

May be Pega has not used Escape character there as we tried using Escape character but it didnt skip that comma.

@ShwetaB96 are you using a Sales Automation framework?

It might be an idea to log a support incident if you are encountering a specific issue which we have not covered in our documentation.

If you chose to do this could you include your INC reference here so that we can help track it?
