Hi team, i am seeking clarification on whether Pega Cloud blocks virus-infected attachments during upload or quarantines them after upload.
much appreciated if someone can clarify which one of below statement correctly describe current behavior on pega cloud..
you can not upload/attach a virus infected file…the anti-virus system on pega cloud will immediately detect the virus and reject the file upload.
you can upload/attach a virus infected file (without knowing), but you can not access it later…because anti-virus system on pega cloud will quarantine the file.
i have read below on line document…but it couldn’t answer my question…
@Chunzhi_Hong the current behavior depends on the version of Pega Cloud you are using.
First scenario described by you is valid on Pega Cloud 2 - scanning is performed during file upload. The second scenario describes behavior on Pega Cloud 3 where scanning is performed on Pega Cloud File Storage repository level.
@golep1 thank you very much for the reply! I have a follow up quetion with Cloud 3…will anti-virus scan performed if the repository for case attachments is custom s3 repository instead of the default pegacloudfilestorage.
