Which certificate should I take for the certified system architect, 8.8 or '23 ?

You can go for any of the above versions, but it will preferable if you go with '23 version since it is the latest version with all the updated features and 8.8 is the previous version to '23 version.

I can see you already have the System Architect badge for v23, in this case you should go with v23 instead of the older version. Better you cert with the latest version and this will help in your career path.
