My client has been running an UI-Kit application past 5-6 years in Production. We want to define a new case type using Pega BluePrint to accelerate the design and build process. Can we import the BluePrint file containing the new case type into an existig UI-Kit application?
The import will create a constellation application and case types. I would suggest they use Blended UI to enable them to use their existing UI Kit application, with the new case types created by Blueprint.
I hope Extension with Blueprint might work, but I agree with @MarcCheong to go with Blended UI because the artifacts created by Blueprint are based on Constellation views, data model, etc..
You can import the Blueprint and create a new C11N App with your UI Kit app as built on. Once the import is completed, run the Blended mode wizard to include the UI Kit Case Types from the built on app in your current constellation application. This would give you one application with new Constellation Case Types and old UI Kit Case Types.
Thanks for the the inputs here. Looks like BP only generates a new case type in Constellaton that we have to use the blended UI technique to integrate with existing UI-Kit application.
