Calculated Text Property Not Appearing in Insight (Constellation 25.1.3)

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with a Data Type in Constellation 25.1.3 and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.

I have a Data Type where I created a Text property called QuantitativeName. This property is configured as a calculated property and uses the value of another property, QuantitativeCode, which is populated while the user fills out the form.

When I save a record, both properties (QuantitativeCode and QuantitativeName) are correctly persisted in the underlying database table. I have verified that the values are stored properly.

However, when I try to use QuantitativeName in an Insight, the value is not displayed. The field appears to be available, but no data is shown.

Has anyone encountered a similar behavior with calculated properties in Insights? Is there any known limitation related to calculated fields, reporting, or Insight indexing in Constellation?

Any suggestions or alternative approaches would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @HalynaK2 ,

Did you use these properties as Expression ?

Please change the configuration in declare expression.

and Add Additional dependencies Properties, i.e Calculated properties.

Thanks,

Ashok

Thank you for your suggestion. However, this solution does not work in my case. When I enable Change Tracking, neither the table nor the Insight works correctly. If I disable Change Tracking, the Insight does not work either.

At the moment, I am unable to get the Insight working regardless of whether Change Tracking is enabled or disabled.

Thanks anyway for your support.

Hi @JayachandraSiddipeta , @VVNagaSaiN @RameshSangili @MarcCheong

Do you have any thoughts/Ideas ?

Thanks,
Ashok

It appears that the issue may be related to the fact that the Declare Expression is not working correctly with Insights.

Hi @HalynaK2

For me works fine this expression for Insights and I created Same as it your property names.

Thanks

Ashok

You’re right, I had forgotten to include the property in the Report Definition. It’s working perfectly now.

Thank you very much for your valuable response. It helped me identify and correct my mistake, and I really appreciate your assistance.

Thanks again for your support!
