Business architect Mission Exercise error

Goodday all,

I want to wrap up my badge upgrade for the Business Architect course. We need to do a small build for mission exercise at the end. I have an issue. When selecting a step and I want to configure the view for it, the instance freezes because of an error, see images below. Anything I am doing wrong?

​It looks like you are encountering a rule resolution/lookup error where the App Studio instance is failing to open or find the underlying flow action and model rule instances (pyModelName and pyActivityName) associated with that case step’s view configuration for the UPlus-FraudEnv-Work-DisputedTransaction class.

​Before assuming it’s a structural mistake on your end, you might want to try these quick troubleshooting steps to see if the environment just needs a refresh:

  1. Clear Browser Cache / Incognito Mode: Sometimes App Studio caches old UI states or rule references. Try logging out, clearing your browser cache (or opening the exercise in an Incognito/Private window), and navigating back to the case life cycle to click Configure View.
  2. Refresh the Case Type: Go to the upper right corner of the Case Life Cycle designer, click the Actions menu, and select Refresh. This can force Pega to re-sync the rule definitions.
  3. Check Rule Availability: If you have access to Dev Studio in this exercise instance, quickly check if the class UPlus-FraudEnv-Work-DisputedTransaction and the corresponding flow actions actually exist or if they were corrupted during the cloud instance provisioning.

​If the instance continues to freeze with those lookup failures even after a hard refresh, it is highly likely a backend environment glitch. In that case, your best bet is to go to your Pega Academy page, click Reset Exercise System to spin up a fresh, clean cloud instance, and quickly redo the preceding steps.

Sadly I did all the steps but none is solving my problem, not even resetting. Any other advice?

@Stefanv76 this is not you - it looks like the 25.1.3 issue, for which there is a hot fix. The pega academy team need to update their instance to address this.

You can raise this directly via the contact the pega academy team link inside the mission.

However, you can also work around this by opening the UX Tab of the Case, open the “Other Views” tab in top right, and then opening the Form View directly to edit it.
