How does the output of Blueprint differ based on asset types uploaded? I am looking specifically in terms of process diagrams. If I upload a bpmn file VS a pdf file containing flow chart that defines my overall design including case types, processes etc?
The output will usually be richer and more structured from a BPMN file than from a PDF flowchart.
A BPMN file is already in a machine-readable process notation, so Blueprint can more directly infer activities, gateways, lanes, and case/process structure
A PDF is usually just an image or document, so Blueprint has to interpret the diagram visually and may lose detail or ambiguity.
if your main concern is the quality of process diagrams generated by Blueprint, upload BPMN whenever possible. Use PDF when BPMN is not available or when you need Blueprint to interpret a broader design document rather than just a formal process model.
It also depends when you upload.
You can actually upload the BPMN in the case types (step 2) to generate the case lifecylce. Given you are providing this for the case lifecycle, AI creativity is lost, and we mirror your BPMN.
Reinforcing what @RaviChandra said about richer outcome. I would be doing this if you know exactly what you want and you need Blueprint to implement this exactly how I ask.
PDF’s etc, during application overview (step 1), provides more guidance than an exact process that needs to be followed for a specific case type.
