Automation shape:Attachment

In pega we have attachment option for the email then why is attach automation shape required?

The Attach Content shape adds an attachment to the case.

It is the automated way to add attachments, similar to the manual way from the case UI.

These case attachments can then be used later for attaching to emails if that is required.
