Adding custom event type to Tracer Tool

How to add the custom event type to tracer tool?

To my undestand event type represents the rule type such as flow rule, declare expression. But we can add any text as event type to tracer tool.

What is the reason of that? What are the valid event types we can add to tracer tool?
