Pega Constellation 25.1.3 – Add Link functionality in Utility Panel

Hi Pega Community,

I’m using Pega Constellation 25.1.3 and have a question regarding the Attachment widget in the Utility Panel.

When the user clicks Add Link, the Add Links modal is displayed. I have two questions:

  1. Can we add an informational message in the modal, such as:

    “Enter the URL and click Add Link first. Once added, click Attach Links to attach the link.”

  2. Even when a URL is entered, the “Cannot be blank” validation message is displayed before clicking Add Link. Is this expected OOTB behavior, and can it be prevented or customized?

We’re on 25.1.3. We’re able to add Links through the Attachment Utility widget. Could you please confirm the url is valid http://?

Hi, I’m using Pega Constellation 25.1.3. In the Utility Panel, the Attachment widget provides an Add Link option and i can able to attach links as well but i have other concerns which i have listed below.

  1. Is there any OOTB way to display an informational message in the Add Links modal telling users to enter the URL → click Add Link → then click Attach Links?
  2. Even when a URL is entered, the field shows “Cannot be blank” before the user clicks Add Link. Is this expected behavior, and can it be configured or suppressed?

Looking for any OOTB configuration or recommended approach. Thanks!

@ManikandanNataraj Not that I know of. If you click “attach links” before clicking “add link”, the link will still be attached as the modal closes. So the functionality still works even if you didn’t click “add link” before submitting the modal.

I am facing this issue in 25.1.3 Pega Version @LantzAndreas .

@ManikandanNataraj Ok, I checked in 26.1.1, I don’t know if it’s different in 25.1.3.
