How to Identify the Database Connected to PegaDATA Schema and Access context.xml

Hi All,

How can I identify which database my PegaDATA schema is connected to?

Is there any way in Pega to determine the database server/instance associated with the PegaDATA schema?

E.g: Oracle, PostgreSQL etc..

We can access/download the prconfig.xml ( by using pzDownloadPRConfigFile Activity ) file from Pega Dev Studio. Similarly, I would like to know if there is a way to access or view the context.xml file from Pega Dev Studio.

How can I view or access context.xml from Pega Dev Studio?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ashok

Hi @Bhumireddy

There are several ways to get this information. If you are having access to PDC, you can go to system resources and click on database which provides db related information.
From admin studio, there is also an option to download system state, which generates a json file(in the format, SystemState-Cluster-*.json) . The database information also contained in the generated system file.

Hi @gudip ,

We have don’t PDC access and I Did Download system state file, I have seen the DB types.

One more, How can we access the context.xml file through Pega? Do you have any idea how we can retrieve or view it?

Thanks,
Ashok

Hi, are you on pega cloud or on-premise deployment?

With pega cloud deployments, you cannot directly access or modify the context.xml file.

If you need specific container-level or environment-level changes that typically require context.xml adjustments, you must submit a service request through my support portal for Pega’s operations team to review and implement safely.
