Hi Team,
I’m working on a Pega Constellation application and have a requirement to display a message using a BannerInput DX Component that is mapped to a Text Area property.
The property is configured in a view and displays correctly in the main screen. However, the same view is also being referenced as a Read-Only View in the Summary Panel, and the BannerInput field is getting displayed there as well.
Requirement:
I want the BannerInput/Text Area property to be visible in the main view but hidden when the view is rendered inside the Summary Panel.
Current setup:
- Constellation application
- Text Area property rendered using BannerInput DX Component
- Same view reused in the main section and as a Read-Only View in the Summary Panel
My questions are:
- Is there a supported way in Constellation to conditionally hide a field only when the view is rendered within a Summary Panel?
- Can the rendering context (Summary Panel vs Main View) be used in a visibility condition?
- Is creating a separate Read-Only View for the Summary Panel the recommended approach, or is there a better design pattern?
Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
