I am currently working on integrating the **File Display** Constellation component using the **React SDK** and have published a custom component to Pega by following the usage example from the official documentation:

[https://design.pega.com/extend/file-display/#Usag](https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdesign.pega.com%2Fextend%2Ffile-display%2F%23Usage&data=05%7C02%7Chemanth.kumar.inapakurthi%40ing.com%7C56606897172343dfa6f608deacebd4ee%7C587b6ea13db94fe1a9d785d4c64ce5cc%7C0%7C0%7C639138326046679636%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=n6s5RGmn47G1mFwlgvhlOPkdtubhnx9qUGDKitbuwJY%3D&reserved=0) [e](https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdesign.pega.com%2Fextend%2Ffile-display%2F%23Usage&data=05%7C02%7Chemanth.kumar.inapakurthi%40ing.com%7C56606897172343dfa6f608deacebd4ee%7C587b6ea13db94fe1a9d785d4c64ce5cc%7C0%7C0%7C639138326046679636%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=n6s5RGmn47G1mFwlgvhlOPkdtubhnx9qUGDKitbuwJY%3D&reserved=0)

At present, when we pass a value to the **“Display Text”** property, the component renders **only the file name** (please refer to the File Display screenshot). However, our requirement is to display additional metadata—specifically **File type** , **Uploaded by** , and **Created date and time** —directly below the file name, like how the **Attachment control** behaves in Pega (refer to the Pega Attachment control screenshot).

After reviewing the available configuration options for the File Display component, I could not identify any properties or parameters that support rendering these additional deta ils.

Could you please confirm:

- Whether the File Display component currently supports displaying file metadata beyond the file name, and

- If not, whether there is any recommended approach or alternative component to achieve behaviour like the Attachment control?

Please let me know if any additional details or screenshots are required from my side.

To display the additional file metadata, you must modify the code of your custom React component to include these extra fields. Open the component file in your React SDK workspace and update its properties to accept the metadata values for file type, uploaded by, and creation date. Next, edit the component’s JSX layout to render these fields directly underneath the main file name. You must also map these new properties to the corresponding Pega clipboard data fields so they receive the correct information from the case. Finally, republish the updated component to Pega to display the complete file details on your user interface.
