Email account configuration in Pega after 'Less Secure Apps' option is removed by Google. Fix for 'Obtain transport object-Fail'

Hi,

As we know Google has removed the less secure apps option, below are the couple of steps to fix “Obtain transport object” - Fail issue.

  1. Go to ‘Manage your google account’ > Security: Make sure 2-step verification is enabled. Please do if not.

  2. Search for ‘App Password’, Select app as ‘Other’, give a name.

Now, copy the generated password and click on DONE.

  1. Go to the email account configuration in Designer Studio, paste this password in Send details and save it. Now test the connectivity.
