DateTime Conversion from New York time to GMT and vice versa

Hi All.

I have a requirement that an external system will provide us with DateTime Value as 2026-06-13-12.30.45.0000000 in NewYork time which we need to convert to PEGA DateTime format in GMT

without converting to GMT i have converted the DateTime format to PEGA format as in 20260613T123045.000 but how can i change the timezone to GMT

When sending the date value from our PEGA to external system it should be converted to New York time format from GMT

How can I format timezomes?

can somebody give me an idea like writing the exact steps or function format I need to make changes in timezone

You can use ConvertDateTime when the incoming string represents a local time in New York and must be converted to a Pega DateTime value in GMT.
You can use FormatDateTime when a Pega DateTime already contains the correct instant and you only need to format it for the outbound system.

Pega stores DateTime values internally in GMT.

@FormatDateTime(theDateTime, pattern, timezone, locale)

@FormatDateTime(.YourPegaDateTimeProperty, “yyyy-MM-dd-HHmmss”, “America/New_York”, “”) or any other timezone
