I have a requirement to include some custom fields into OOTB widget.

what is the best approach to achieve this requirement.

  1. Can I edit the OOTB widget?
  2. Do I need to create new widget? or
  3. Can I create new view rule to implement same?

  1. Can I edit the OOTB widget? NO. You can’t customize the OOTB widget.

  2. Do I need to create new widget? YES. Create a new DX Component to achieve your business requirement

  3. Can I create new view rule to implement same?

Please note: Couple of OOTB Widgets allow configurations at design time. It would be great if you can provide additional context regarding which widget.
